The project STIP (B-5847) involves a replacement for Bridge #173 on Rock Barn Road (SR 1709) over I-40 in Conover, NC. The project is approximately 0.377 miles including reconfiguring the interchange with two roundabouts and realigning two service roads. This project also includes a 10-foot multi-use path on the north side. The anticipated let date is now May 2030.
