Originally founded to design and inspect bridges and culverts for the NCDOT, TGS has thrived on the design of structures since our incorporation 44 years ago. Steel, concrete, timber – no matter the material, we have a solution. Our team strives to cost-effectively design structures without compromising strength while serving as functional and aesthetically pleasing. We provide design and analysis for all types of structures including bridges, culverts, buildings, foundations, temporary shoring systems and retaining walls.
Our bridge inspection team leaders have an average of 20+ years of experience inspecting and rating bridges and culverts. Each of our team leaders have completed the “Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges” training course required by the Federal Highway Administration. TGS also maintains the tools to meet all of the NCDOT requirements. Our team not only provides inspections and load rating analysis but seeks to develop asset management programs to establish a baseline for scheduling necessary repairs and maintenance. Additionally, TGS prepares repair plans and can provide oversight to ensure that the structures are properly repaired.
