TGS provided construction engineering and inspection services for this grade separation and track realignment project in Morrisville, North Carolina (P-5201). In addition to replacing the railroad crossing with a new railroad bridge over Morrisville Parkway, work involved realignment of curves from Cary Parkway to Crabtree Creek to facilitate bridge construction as well as improve travel times from Raleigh and Charlotte. This project is part of the Piedmont Improvement Program to modernize the railroad track, roads and bridges along the North Carolina Railroad Corridor between Charlotte and Raleigh. The two outside lanes of Morrisville Parkway re-opened to drivers in August 2016, work was completed in November 2016 and the project was closed out in January 2017.
